You Are Known
God knows everything about me.
God Loves Me · Psalm 139:1–3
God knows everything about me.
Who knows you the best in the whole world? Maybe your mom or dad? They know your favorite food, how you sound when you cry, and what makes you laugh. Today we hear that God knows you even better than that.
David wrote this in his poem too:
'Lord, you have looked deep into me and you know me. You know when I sit down and when I get up. You know my thoughts from far away. You know when I go out and when I come in.'
Think about that.
God knows when you wake up in the morning. He sees you stretch and rub your eyes.
God knows when you sit down to eat. He knows your favorite breakfast.
God knows what you're thinking right now. Even before you say it.
Can you think of something, just in your head, and don't say it out loud? Think of it. God knows what you just thought of!
Some people might think that's a little scary. But here is the thing: God knows everything about you, and He still loves you completely.
He knows the grumpy mornings. He knows the mistakes. He knows the hard days.
And He loves you. Always.
To be fully known and fully loved at the same time. That is the most wonderful thing in the world.
Prayer
Let's pray. Repeat after me:
Dear God,
You know everything about me.
Thank you that you still
love me anyway.
We love you!
Amen.
