God Hears Me

When I pray, God hears me.

God Loves Me  ยท  1 John 5:14; Psalm 65:2

When I pray, God hears me.

Have you ever talked to someone and they weren't really listening? That feels so bad. Today we hear something wonderful: when you talk to God, He always listens. Every time. Really truly.

John wrote this in his letter: 'This is the confidence we have: if we ask God for anything in line with what He wants, He hears us. And if we know He hears us, we can be confident in what we've asked.'

Confident means sure. Certain. Not wondering, not hoping maybe. Sure.

Psalm 65 says: 'You who hear prayer. To you all people will come.'

All people. Including little people. Including you.

Prayer doesn't have to be fancy. You don't need special words. You don't need to stand a certain way or be in a special building.

You can pray right now. In your pajamas. In the car. At the playground.

Can you close your eyes and talk to God right now, just in your heart, silently? Tell Him something you're thinking about. He is listening.

That's prayer. Talking to your Father who loves you and always, always hears you.

Prayer

Let's pray. Repeat after me:
Dear God,
Thank you for always listening.
Thank you that I can talk to you
anywhere, anytime.
We love you!
Amen.
