New Every Morning

God's love starts fresh every morning.

God Loves Me  ·  Lamentations 3:22–23; Psalm 30:5

God's love starts fresh every morning.

Have you ever had a hard day where things went wrong and you felt bad? And then you went to sleep and woke up and it was a new day? The Bible says that's not just a nice feeling. It's something God designed.

A man named Jeremiah wrote a poem during one of the hardest times in history. Everything around him was broken and sad.

But in the middle of it, he remembered something.

He wrote: 'The Lord's love never runs out. His mercies never end. They are new every morning. Great is your faithfulness.'

New every morning.

Every single morning when you wake up, God's love is fresh. New. Full. Not tired. Not used up.

Not 'I'm a little less patient with you today because of yesterday.'

New. Full. Completely new.

Psalm 30 says: 'Tears may last through the night. But joy comes in the morning.'

The hard things of yesterday don't have to follow you into today.

Can you do a big stretch like you just woke up? Ahhh! A new day!

Every morning is a gift. And every morning, God's love is brand new for you.

Prayer

Let's pray. Repeat after me:
Dear God,
Thank you for new mornings.
Thank you that your love
is fresh and new today.
We love you!
Amen.
