God Made the World  ·  Genesis 1:24–25

God made all the animals.

What's your favorite animal? Think of it. Big, small, furry, spotty, whatever it is! Today God makes ALL the animals. Including your favorite one.

The ocean has fish. The sky has birds. But the land is still quiet.

God is about to change that.

'Let the land fill with animals!' He says.

They come!

Lions padding softly through the tall grass. Elephants swinging their great gray trunks. Dogs wagging and cats stretching and horses galloping across open fields!

Can you make your favorite animal sound? Do it!

Tiny little beetles and great big rhinos. Fluffy bunnies and scaly lizards. Slow-moving turtles and quick jumping frogs.

Every single one, God thought up. Every spot on every giraffe. Every stripe on every zebra. God made them all.

God looks out at all the animals. All that life and sound and movement.

'This is good,' He says.

And it really, really is.

Prayer

Let's pray. Repeat after me:
Dear God,
Thank you for all the animals.
Thank you for your favorite animalwhat is it? Yes! Thank you for that one!
You made them all.
We love you!
Amen.
