You Are Made
God made me.
God Made the World · Genesis 1:26–27; Psalm 139:14
God made me.
God has made so many things. Light and sky, land and sea, plants and animals. But now He is about to make something very, very special. Today God makes people. And that includes you.
The world is full and beautiful. But God has one more thing to make.
He leans close. He thinks carefully.
'Let us make people,' God says. 'People who are like us.'
And He makes them. A man and a woman. Carefully, lovingly, wonderfully made.
Not like a fish. Not like a lion. Not like a tree.
Made in the image of GOD.
That means people are made to know God, love God, and show what He is like.
People who can think and feel and love. People who can laugh and cry and sing. People who can talk to God and love God back.
Can you touch your nose? Your ears? God made all of that.
You have a brain that thinks wonderful thoughts. A heart that feels big feelings. Hands that can hold and hug and help.
God looks at you. He loves what He sees.
You are made in the image of God. That is one of the most important things you will ever know.
Prayer
Let's pray. Repeat after me:
Dear God,
Thank you for making me.
Thank you for my hands
and my heart and my voice.
I love you!
Amen.
