The Ocean

God made the deep and wide sea.

God Made the World  ยท  Psalm 95:5; Psalm 93:4

God made the deep and wide sea.

Have you ever stood at the edge of the ocean? The waves come in and crash. The water goes so far you can't see the other side. Today we think about how big the ocean is. And about the God who made every single drop of it.

The ocean is very, very big.

If you got in a boat and sailed for weeks and weeks, you still wouldn't reach the end.

The ocean goes down, too. So deep that the very bottom has never been fully seen by any person. Dark and deep and full of creatures no one has ever named.

The Bible says God made the sea. His hands formed the dry land and the deep waters too.

When a great storm comes and the waves are bigger than houses, God is bigger than the storm.

Can you make a wave with your arms? Big, wide, rolling wave!

Psalm 93 says: 'God is mightier than the waves!'

What a big, wonderful God. He made the deep sea. He holds it all in His hands.

Prayer

Let's pray. Repeat after me:
Dear God,
You made the great big ocean.
Thank you that you are
bigger than the waves.
We love you!
Amen.
