Thank You for the World

We can say thank you to God every day.

God Made the World  ·  Psalm 136:1, 26; 1 Thessalonians 5:18

We can say thank you to God every day.

We have been on a big adventure together. Hearing about everything God made! From the very first day to the mountains, the sea, the stars, and you. Today we finish with the most important response to all of that: thank you.

The book of Psalms has a very special song.

It goes like this:

'Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good. His love lasts forever.'

Give thanks to the God who made the great lights. His love lasts forever!

Give thanks to the God who spread out the earth on the waters. His love lasts forever!

Give thanks to the God who remembered us when we felt forgotten. His love lasts forever!

Over and over, the song says the same thing. His love lasts forever. His love lasts forever. His love lasts forever.

The whole universe is held together by love. God's love.

Think about everything we have talked about: Light and sky. Land and sea. Sun and moon. Birds and fish. Animals. And you.

God made all of it. And He made it all because of love.

Can you pat your heart? That heart inside you. God made that too.

'Thank you, God.' Those might be the three most important words we can say.

His love lasts forever. And that means we will never run out of reasons to say thank you.

Prayer

Let's pray. And this time, let's make it our own. I'll start, and you can add something you're thankful for.
Dear God,
We love you and we thank you.
Thank you for making our world.
Thank you forwhat are you thankful for today? Tell God right now! Yes! Thank you for that!
Your love lasts forever.
Amen.
